The Mercat de la Boqueria is a large open-air market located in Barcelona, Spain. It is considered to be the oldest continuously operating food market in Europe. The market dates back to 1244 when King James I of Aragon granted the right to sell fish and meat in the area.

In 1401, the first permanent building was built on the site. Over time, the market grew and eventually included fruits and vegetables. Today, the market sells everything from fresh produce to clothing and souvenirs.

Passeig de Colon is a promenade along Barcelona’s waterfront. It runs between the Parc del Fòrum and Port Vell. The Paseo de la Rambla is on the opposite side of the port.

As you can not miss in the city that Christopher Columbus landed after returning from America. Very close to the sea there is a monument to it with a small viewpoint, which is really not worth climbing.

Just a few meters from there, is the Maremagnum area, where the sound of the sea will fill you with Barcelona.

ROYAL SQUARE

It is called “real” for its beauty. This square surrounded by palm trees is presided over by a beautiful fountain in the center. There are also two street lamps designed by Antonio Gaudí. It is, without a doubt, one of the happiest areas of Barcelona and a very pleasant place to eat or drink something.
